It's hard to believe that I've reached the end after six years of hard work, doubts and determination, sweat and tears.
The last few months have been a rollercoaster ride, from the emotional breakdown on writing those two fateful words, 'The End' on the 20th of April to recieving the books from the printer on Tuesday. I'm still in a state of giddy shock. There really is no feeling quite like seeing your work in its final form. I pick up the book and page through it as if it's any old book, but when I read the words and recognise them as my own, I get this weird feeling of disbelief.
I'm also feeling at a loss as to what to do now. Start the next project, of course, though I'm looking at the book in my hand and the path behind me and wondering how the heck I got here and how to do it again. For the time being, I'm going to take a break and catch up on a few things before I start outlining the next book. There is also plenty of marketing and promotion to do to get Shooting Stars out in the world.
As a terminally single person with no children of my own, I have had to watch my friends and family post their baby announcements and photos on Facebook in painful silence. I decided it was time for my own baby shoot. Lol, I had great fun putting this together.
